Epsilon offers a custom machining service for amateur astronomers who require specialised equipment that is not available off the shelf. We can machine and fabricate parts to your drawing and design specifications, modify/repair existing parts or part machine equipment. It is also possible to provide customised versions of our own products to suit your individual needs.

Below are some examples of our custom work:

Epsilon specialises in machining small parts for scientific instruments, design components,   prototypes and small mechanisms. We do not produce volume machining, but can cater for small batches or build complete working mechanisms. The machining of a wide range of materials is possible including Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Brass, Titanium, Nylon, Acetal and Macor (Ceramic).

Our facilities are clean and well equipped and including small CNC lathes and milling machines, along with other conventional workshop machines. We are able to work to small tolerances and produce a high quality finish.

We use CAD software and can help with designs and drawings, or produce design solutions for you. It is possible to work from samples or drawings which can be in any format including jpegs, paper drawings or CAD drawings. Use e-mail, telephone, fax, post or visit us to discuss your requirements.
