| Epsilon
has developed a modular pier system for small
and medium sized telescopes (up to 8" fork
mounted instruments in equatorial), the piers
will also accommodate Meade 10" and Celestron
11" scopes in Alt/Az. The piers are available
in three heights (using the optional extensions)
and can be fitted with a range of optional extras,
such as eyepiece shelves and levelling feet. All
the parts, with the exception of the Shelf Retaining
Ring, are made from Aluminium and Stainless Steel.

NEW
MKII PIER
Our
New MkII pier features a slot to allow the tightening
of GP and similar mounts once polar aligned. This
means strength is not compromised by having a
large cutout.
This
feature also allows LX90/LX200 mounts to be orientated
correctly.
Please
note the slot is also a feature of the mating
pier extensions. |

Pier
The Standard Pier consists
of the central tube and three cast legs, which
are machined flat and have a threaded M16 hole.
The pier can be bolted to a floor or base using
up to 12mm/0.5" bolts for permanent mounting
with the use of the optional Tapered Washers &
Shims. The pier can also be used with the Levelling
Feet or just free standing on the legs. The top
of the tube has six 6.35mm/0.25" holes with
counterbores, which can be used for fitting an
Epsilon Standard Pier Head or to fit your own
adaptor. These holes also allow the fitting of
the Pier Extensions. |

Feet
These feet allow for precise
levelling of the pier, as well as increased stability.
The feet also allow the pier to be placed on an
uneven or sloping surface. The screw ends have
a machined ball, which provides rotation and swivelling,
avoiding pier movement when being turned for adjustment.
